Be a Mascot

If you are a Junior Blues member and you want to be a mascot, here’s what you need to do:

Complete the application form and return it to the Junior Blues team here at Portman Road. Don’t forget that you need to get your parent/guardian to sign the form with you. All the forms are put into a monthly ballot, and the lucky mascots are chosen at random. The sooner we receive your form, the more ballots you can be a part of. If you are one of the lucky ones, we will write to you with details of your match and tell you what you need to do. Please remember that although there is no charge to be a mascot you will need to provide a full current kit (home or away) to wear on the day, and be accompanied by one parent or guardian. If you are not a season ticket holder you will also need to purchase match tickets.

What does our home mascot get?

If you are a home mascot you can look forward to:

• Your very own pre-match warm up alongside the first team players
• Your photo and details in the match day programme and on the scoreboard
• A free match day programme and ITFC pennant signed by the first team
• A certificate signed by the Manager and Junior Blues captain
• Reduced price match tickets
• Leading the team out of the famous Portman Road tunnel
• Photos with the captains and match officials

What about being an away mascot?

We always ask the other clubs within the Championship if we can take a mascot to their ground when Ipswich play there. It’s great to be an away mascot, and you get to do lots of exciting things!*
Remember, you can apply to be a home and an away mascot.
